Independence Day

Fact of the day : Today is Malaysia's Independence day!

How is it like here during Merdeka? Well there's not much Merdeka being in a different country but you will be pleased to know that this country will be celebrating their independence day this Thursday. Everything will be shut for 2 days. WOW!

Truth be told. People here definitely can use some holiday. They work really really hard!

On a side note : Made pineapple tarts :) hehehehe!

Day 11, 12, 13

Fact of the day : Labour cost in here is really low ie underpaid workers.

Sorry that I've been missing in action for a few days. Been busy with things. Waking up really early since my return from spore. Shocking eh? LOL.

Tomorrow the day my nephew comes. YAY!!!!! Can't wait. Counting down the hours.

FYI : He's a really cute boy and really smart too. Gives me something to do hear to kill boredom :)

Days away....

Fact of the day : Fat people is less hired compared to thin people? (quote from a current working person)

Went to Singapore for a holiday and met up with my relatives. This was one of the motion that's mind boggling. Apparently, if an employer has to choose between person A (fat) and person B (Thin) with the same qualifications, B will definitely get it because A is fat and less attractive ie seen as less presentable and confident.

What bollocks is this? People in the region outside Asia are not exactly on the 'skinny'(looking aneroxic) kind of scale. So are we saying that they can't get jobs? Or are we saying that, I should look for a job abroad where I'm considered thin since in this region I'm a fatty? So much for equal rights eh? Think about it.

Day 10

Fact of the day : It is rather hard to find shuttle cocks around here.

Went around looking for shuttle cocks to play since my bro keeps feeding the shuttle to the trees around us. Everyday they receive a new 'flower' hahaha!

It's been raining for these past few days. I wish it will just stop so that we could go out and play :)

Day 9

Fact of the day : Vietnamese food ain't too bad if you know where to eat!

Went to a hotel with mom to try their Vietnamese cuisine. Order a set lunch menu. It was surprisingly good. PS : Vietnam Kitchen in Malaysia is not Vietnamese food. Trust me. It taste a whole lot yuckier here! (to me at least because I don't quite fancy their authentic food)

Did a few more shopping here and there for the Singapore trip soon :)

Day 8

Fact of the day : Dancing is fun :)

Went clubbing with mom and her friends. Yes, MOM. It was fun. There was a live band and the songs played were really in our generation type songs. It was in a hotel so it wasn't so bad. There were people smoking all around though and there were 2 girls who were trying so hard to seduce guys there. You could just give them a pole and they will make good strippers! (No, i'm not being harsh, everyone on the dance floor agreed that they were bit too over the top!)

Got back late and felt asleep till 2 pm the next day. hahahha!

Day 7

Fact of the day : The local people here are stubborn and pushy!

Went to church this morning to find out that the pastor was no longer preaching in the church due to visa disapproval. How sad. He was indeed an interesting pastor with really short but informative sermons. Mom said he will be back once awhile to 'spot' check the church. Currently, they are inviting different speakers from different places (countries) to share the word with us :)

Nothing much done today apart from slight shopping. Not sure if I'm actually thinking straight when I shop or do I just look to see if it's nice, check the price, bargain and buy?LOL. Bought 2 dresses and 4 tops today for about 100rm! :) happy happy happy!

Wonders what I'm going to do tomorrow though and days after before heading to Kiasu-land. LOL

Due to all the extra time I have (since there's nothing much to do here), I'm missing you loads...

Day 6

Fact of the day : It's easier to get sun burnt here than back home.

Went swimming today for an hour and got myself burnt! NOT tanned but burnt! I have 2 roasted RED cheeks and one slightly RED arm. LOL. Oh well.

I also realised how unfit I am. Can't swim as much as last time already :(

Why is size/weight such a great deal in this region of the world? Why can't fat people live happily without anyone mocking them? Is life really all about being thin? Hmph. I rather be fat and fit compared to thin and sickly! *annoyed from the comments received since my return, yes I'm fat(in the asian region) but I'm not that fat*

Tomorrow's Sunday, the day of rest and church :)

Day 5

Fact of the day : Life's a routine here.

Yes i know that many may say that it is a routine everywhere but hey, I'm on holiday. It's supposed to be fun and full of adventure yet I do the same set of things daily. Wake up. Go out. Meet dad for lunch. Look around /shopping (though I didn't buy anything for the past few days). Home. Dinner. Tv. Sleep.

Being back home in Malaysia makes it slightly different because there are friends/relatives to hangout with it. Not so troublesome to move from one area to another too. (here is very driver dependent)

Tomorrow I'm following dad to golf. Something different from the past 5 days. Hope I'll somehow have fun. LOL

Day 4 in HCMC

Fact of the day : In Asian cities, you will be charge more if your seen with an 'angmoh'!

Why? This is because we think they have more cash and not so kiasu in terms of bargaining for the cheapest prices (value for money stuff) LOL.

Met this half British, half Malaysian dude in Benh Thanh while he was buying a pair of board shorts. Converse with him for about 15minutes after knowing that he will be working in Malaysia for a year in PJ (Yes the world is getting smaller. HAHA)

I would have to say in terms of looks and body structure : Not bad!
Quite buff and due to him being a mix breed.. normal-lah! hahahaha!

More shopping tomorrow hopefully :)

The correlation of climatic changes with daily living...

Its been ages since I'd last updated. Been busy during uni times. Since, it's the summer vacation period, I have loads of time available to update ;)

Mmm.. Don't you ever wonder if the changes in temperature and weather affects your mood/daily living? I certainly think it does. I don't remember myself being so grouchy in UK compared to Malaysia. Maybe it's something to do with how fast pace our life is in KL compared to the laid back UK? MMMMmmm..

Don't we all wish life could be a whole lot simpler? In relationship terms, searching for a job terms, uni life terms.... The sermon last Sunday in City Harvest KL said that we should always stretch our faith. *trying trying*

As we get older, I start realizing how stupid both genders are. Guys are actually more complicated than they sound and girls just can't resist falling for jerks. Weird eh how all of these works? LOL.

Guys are so different from girls. Some of them are romantic, some practical, some... mmm.. not sure? LOL
(you see, they're not as simple as we think. HAHA) how do people in the olden days fall in love? It must be really different back then compared to now. For one, there are more material to clothes than there are now. hahaha! people were less physically obsessed. Oh well.

I have no idea what i'm rambling. Just a random 'what comes up in mind' kinda thing :) hehehe!
